A Better {...ME...}!!!!

I am going to work towards a better ME! I was just inspired to try a 21 day program. It's nothing really hard or anything that requires lots of money or time, just determination, a want and willpower. So how am I going to do this?

1) exercising. (at least 30 3x's a week)

2) eating better. (lots of fruits & veggies)

3) taking care of my spiritual side. (spending more time in personal prayer and reading my scriptures)

4) taking some ME time. (spending at least an hour a day doing something I love)

5) getting more sleep. (going to bed earlier and getting at least 8-10 hrs of sleep)

The great part about this is that there is never a perfect time to start and there is always a tomorrow! They say it takes 21 days to break a habit! So here goes... only 21 days to a better ME!

I have found the best glitter paper EVER!!!! Its made by American Crafts and is absolutely fantastic. It cuts amazing on the Cricut machine and looks divine. The microfine glitter is to die for as well. So scrumptious!!

I made his two brothers one as well for their birthdays in April ( I totally forgot to take pictures of Kolby's and sent it to him 3 weeks ago bummer). I just can't tell you how cute this new baby line is from My Mind's Eye so I will just show you!! :) I made this cute little outfit about 21 years ago for my little baby girl and the ribbon I used on the headband and the socks is exactly the same kind as I used on the layout-funny how some things never change.

The other day I was going through my wedding photos and was astonished when I realized that my wedding colors matched so well with the reddish mauvey hues in the MME Life Stories line (I prevoisly used the greenish blue line on a mini album with recent photos of my husband & I. So I got to thinking how awesome it would look to duplicate the album using the opposing line in the Life Stories collection. I was really amazed with my results. I just LOVE the way they both look so different but are yet almost the same!

In 2008 I took my daughter to the Oregon Coast for her senior trip and we decided to take her senior pics along the coast. I thought this would be a great way to showcase several of my favorite shots.

ATC {Artist Trading Cards} Storage Holder

The girls at The Cottage and I have been swapping ATC cards-it has been so much fun every month we get together and swap our cards. Oh how I love the be creative! I made this card for a dear sweet friend. It actually turned out to be one of my favorite cards. Look closley at the white flowers and the butterfly wings, did you notice how they glimmer and glitter? I used an awesome product called Shimmerz paints, I used the chunky more dramatic Blingz in Pixie Dust. I just loVe it!

My husband and I have had a great experince over the past 7 months-we had an opportunity to completely fall head over heels in love with the most amazing little boy-Kalup is our first grandson and as you can see Grampa is totally smitten.

Did you notice the stars? I used my cricut and cut them out then scored them from the points of the stars to center of star and then between the points score to center of star; fold and ink, then pinch star slighlty to make it puffy this gives it the 3-D effect.

A little about me!

I have been scrapbooking for almost 8 years, I have two beautiful daughters who have been scrapbooking since they could walk. They tried for years to get me to join in the fun but as always I was WAY to busy! Well once I finished nursing school and life settled down some I decided to give it a whirl and guess what!?!? I LOVED it and haven't stopped since.

I even have my own little store! I have to admit it my little shop is soooo cute and inspiring and I am totally in love with it!

I recently challenged my gals to create a layout of {what iNSpiRes u??}. This was a difficult challenge for me because I had to dig down deep in my soul to find out what gives me inspiration.

So what inspires me???? Anything Vintage! Yep, it's true! I am a total vintage girl at heart. From old houses with all the trimmings to antique stores and junk shops. If its older than 1979 than I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Give me anything old and unique and I will cherish it beyond reason. Even my scrapbook style is shabby vintage.

I do dabble in other styles and create many projects that aren't all shabby or distressed in nature. I just love being creative and when I am able to truely express myself through a shabby vintage craft project it feeds and delights my soul.

If I was asked what item I couldn't live without, I would have to say my distress inks. Did you catch that? {DISTRESS} lol!! Ok, now seriously, I think I would have to say inks, pearls, ribbon, vintage trim, buttons........

So enough about me...for now anyway! Let's move on to the creative and inspiring part of me!
